LAKE ALFRED, FL (JULY 2006) – The third of four candidates applying for the Microbacteriologist Faculty position at the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center will be presenting his seminar on August 9, 2006.

Dr. A. Leonardo Iniguez, presently a Postdoctoral Research Associate, Agronomy Dept., University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be presenting his seminar entitled “Integrating Plant-Microbe Interaction Studies and High Throughput Expression Analysis to Address Prokaryotic Diseases of Citrus.” The seminar will be held in Room 2 of the Ben Hill Griffin Hall, CREC, Lake Alfred, at 11:00 a.m.

In 2004, Dr. Iniguez earned his Ph.D. in Agronomy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison with his research primarily based on the biology of bacterial endophyte plant interactions and corn genomics.
